Orchestrated under a 35-year concession period with Dubai Municipality, the DWMC targets the treatment of 5,666 tonnes of municipal solid waste daily, converting an annual 1,900,000 tonnes of waste into renewable energy.
To finance this ambitious AED 4 billion undertaking, project finance loan agreements totaling $900 million have been secured, with a consortium featuring international heavyweights like Société Générale Bank, KfW IPEX Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and others.
