Russia- Nizhny Novgorod is embarking on a transformative journey in education with the “School 800” project. This initiative, driven by the vision to tap into the boundless potential of human resources, is tailored to serve 4,550 individuals spread across three city districts and an additional education center in Bor. With a hefty investment of 6,136.6 million rubles, this endeavor transcends mere construction, seeking to mold the future.

The approach taken by “School 800” is far from conventional. It stands as a comprehensive, full-day school that aims to reshape the educational experience. Departing from traditional methodologies, the complex endeavors to close the gap between education and the swiftly evolving reality of the modern world.

Distributed across three districts and Bor, the educational complex encompasses four strategic facilities. Placed with precision to alleviate the strain on existing schools, these locations aim to address admission backlogs and eliminate the necessity for a second shift. Adhering to European standards, “School 800” emerges as a beacon of contemporary educational infrastructure.

The first facility, a General Education School in the Avtozavodsky District, boasts a capacity of 1,500 places and is poised to be a hub of learning and innovation on Yuzhny Boulevard. The second, situated in the VIII Verkhniye Pechery of Nizhny Novgorod district, accommodates 1,500 students, promising a personalized educational journey for each child. The third, a Comprehensive School in Sormovsky District, designed for 1,100 students, emphasizes specialized classes and vocational training. The fourth facility, a Center for Additional Education in Bor, near the village of Voronino, encompasses educational spaces, dormitories, residences, medical facilities, dining areas, and more.

Education at “School 800” transcends textbooks, focusing on developing a spectrum of skills demanded by the modern world. Special attention is given to pre-vocational training and early career guidance. The project’s “High School – Regional University – Employer” approach guarantees a steady supply of highly qualified professionals to benefit the region.

More than bricks and mortar, “School 800” is committed to creating an inclusive space for all. Facilities are equipped to accommodate children with disabilities, ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.

As construction progresses, “School 800” is already gaining recognition as an innovative beacon in education. With a 15-year implementation period, this ongoing project is poised to reshape not only the educational landscape of Nizhny Novgorod but also the lives of the thousands of students who will pass through its doors.
